Avengers | Infinity War

After working the delayed truck this morning from 8:00 - noon, and eating some cold Chinese food I headed over to CinemaWorld to see "Avengers: Infinity War".

Wow, what a movie. They really managed to cram every Marvel hero to date into it. Overall I enjoyed the entire film, but some of the things I liked best: the initial appearance of Scarlet Witch and The Vision, and their fight against two of Thanos' underlings; the dynamic between Tony Stark and Stephen Strange (two alpha males, one science & one mystic, butting heads); Tom Holland reinforcing his position as the best actor to ever portray Peter Parker/Spider-Man; characters actually dying (for now); and the post-credits scene with Nick Fury & Maria Hill, and his signalling an MIA Captain Marvel.

I'm definitely going to go see it again next week. There was so much going on!

Random Notes

  • I've been working in the Ayer store last week and this week to help out the new manager who is still being trained. I am considering transferring there as a full time ASM if my DM agrees. Great store, safe area, friendly customers, and it closes at 9 every night.
  • Erik is moving to New Jersey with his girlfriend on Friday. No last chance to hang out, but he said he will be back next month to retrieve more of his stuff, so I'll find time then to hang out with him (and perhaps others of the New Hampshire crew).
  • Tomorrow night is the Echosmith show at Royale for Celia's graduation gift! Now if she, Sarah and i can all get on the same page, travel-wise...

Weekend Off Day 1

I didn't set the alarm last night, but I still got out of bed just before 8 am. Breakfast was apple pie and Starbuck's Sumatra coffee. Then tv and Clash of Clans, and then online all day.

Lunch was Domino's. I did some reading, played some games, and drew.

Supper was Swiss rolls and more coffee, Peet's Major Dickason Blend.

My drawing:

Work Adjustment

I'm six weeks into the district reset, with only a few stores left to do. This week I finished up at 4863 (M, T, ½ of W), spent an afternoon in L1 (½ of W), and today I finished up in W3. Glenn called me today to ask if I would help out in Ayer next week to cover for an ASM who trained and then promptly quit. So I have a week off from the reset, and a normal-type work week (with Su, T and H off). It will be nice to do normal things for a week, as well as sleep in most days (three of my four shifts are closes). It'll be fun I think...

Benvolio

Benvolio has finally caught the Imp of Oakenvale, and has retrieved the silver key, which opens the basement door of the Tower of Phinnucia...

April Project

On the spur of the moment tonight I decided to jump headfirst into a creative project. I am going to roll three characters (two heroes and a villain) Dungeons & Dragons - style, and then write a story around them. Also, I will be drawing several action scenes from the story, as well as a map of the travels of the characters, creating a world as I go.

So far I've rolled them up, and chosen their classes, backgrounds, and hazy motivations for their quests. Next steps: character drawings and thinking up decent names...

A Few Days Late

Work has been keeping me busy and tired, so I only got around to drawing April's calendar this morning (I wanted sunlight on it more than I wanted it to lay flat, so it's on top of the stove - haha). Thankfully, I have the next 4 days off, so I can recover and actually have a life for a few days...

Also, it was really windy last night!

Enough Already

I awoke today to this snowy scene, and the snow lasted a good part of the day, with about an inch of accumulation on cold surfaces (my car and the steps).
